If I could give more stars I would. Last night I woke up and realized our AC wasn’t blowing out cold air and that the temp was climbing inside our home. Living in Texas in Summer your AC going out is everyone’s worst nightmare. My husband and I called multiple companies to see if anyone could come out same day, we have a 2 month old and couldn’t be in our house much longer. I got in touch with Chris who very generously offered to come to our home on his day off and rescue us. We’re first time homeowners and know very little about maintaining our home, but Chris was very helpful and explained everything to us. Can’t recommend him and this company enough! Call Cool Guys!

I called Chris this morning and he was able to come out to our house within a couple of hours even though this is the hottest week of the year so far so I know he’s busy. He assessed the problem quickly and got our AC up and running, and I would recommend him to anybody who needs HVAC work!
Our AC stopped working correctly and we called a company we'd used before. The quote they came back with was pretty high, so my husband wanted me to ask around for a second opinion. I spend this afternoon calling for quotes for the part that I was told was the culprit because everyone wanted to charge a bunch of money just to come out and look at the problem. Chris was the only one who offered to come out and do a quick free second opinion. He was here 30 minutes after I called him. Not only was the original company I called wrong about what was wrong with our AC, they actually caused problems with their last visit that Chris ended up fixing. A $3.8k quote that we were going to have to save up for turned into just two parts needing to be replaced for $700. He walked us through why the original diagnosis was wrong and everything, so this is for sure the issue. He also owns the company, whereas the techs who came to our house a couple of weeks ago seemed new. He doesn't have magnets yet so I'm going to tape his business card to the front of the magnet of the company that had us suffering in this terrible heat for the past few days. We're not calling anyone else for AC issues in the future.

Chris was great from start to finish. During the recent cold snap, our system started cycling and would only put out heat intermittently. We woke up to a house below 60 degrees, and at 4:30 in the morning I reached out on Thumbtack, not expecting much that early. Chris responded by 8 and was at our house by 10. Not only did he quickly identify the mechanical issue, but he also took the time to explain the bigger picture. He walked me through how the system had originally been installed with an undersized return plenum, how that design flaw increased static pressure, and how it had been putting unnecessary strain on the blower motor over time. He also handled the warranty process on his end, so I did not have to deal with it at all. It was clear he had a strong understanding of both the equipment and proper airflow design, and how the two work together. He explained everything in a way that made sense, did not upsell, and his pricing was fair and straightforward. Because of that experience, I have already recommended him to my parents without hesitation. Professional, responsive, and genuinely knowledgeable. I would absolutely use him again.
